Are there times when you wake up feeling discouraged? with little or no energy to take on what the day has to offer, you end up putting up a gloomy face and feel like you need to be non existent for a while, you feel drained and un motivated, its like you carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.
During such days you keep to yourself, being angry for no reason like you are angry at the world, telling yourself you’re a failure, playing sad songs to serve as a form of comfort.
You become so self absorbent in this world of yours that you begin to loose yourself bit by bit..these patterns of negativity continue to emerge to the extent you tell yourself “I am no better than the person sitting next to me”, you begin to feel inferior, and say words like “I give up” “i can’t do this” ” it’s impossible “.
The truth is at one point in our lives, we have all felt this way. It’s easy to have hope when things in our lives a rolling OK, It’s also easy to lose hope and feel dejected when things don’t go the way we want them to.
For instance, you are aiming for first class in school or you are looking forward to making new friends at school or you are applying for a job… When these things don’t happen the way we want them too, because of the time and effort we put into them, we end up feeling left out or not good enough like the world is against us.
We get stuck in this belief that we fail to see that situations don’t last long, all we need to do is to transition from a negative mindset which is full of doubt, pessimism and lack of self confidence to one of positivity and possibilities.
It is important to note that life is two side. It could be good or bad depending on the choices we make. Both good and bad situations serve as a stepping stone for something greater, it offers us a hidden lesson depending on how we see things. With every situation there is always something to be learnt, it all depends on how we choose tackle such situations and incorporate it’s lessons into our daily lives.
Being positive is about making the right choice. When circumstances seem difficult, and your spirits are low, how can you be positive and full of hope? When you are down in the dumps, when it seems the whole world is falling apart, how can you be positive and full of hope? You turn to your source of hope. But how do you obtain it? Where does hope come from?
Psalms 38:15 says;
“For in thee, O LORD, do I hope: thou wilt hear, O Lord my God”.
Hope comes from God and his words which serves as motivations and solutions to our challenges , struggles and discouragement. God of all creation loves and cares about you. He has greater purposes for you than anything thing you can imagine. He has given you hope because he is greater than your circumstances. He has given you a new life which allows you to look forward to each day with new hope.
That’s why it good to know that no matter what we’re experiencing or where we find ourselves or when people disappoint us, one thing is for sure: God will never leave us.
Mathew 28: 20 says;
“And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age”.
There is hope in the fact that God is always with us in every step of the way. He delights in every dealing our lives. Though we may stumble or obstacles may block our paths, we will not fail because the Lord has taken us by his hands.
Life is not over just because it’s difficult God has greater plans for us.
Jeremain 29:11 says;
“For I know the plans I have for you,’ says the Lord, they are of good, not of evil, to give you a future and hope.”
Perhaps you have placed your hope in God for a particular thing and it didn’t happen at the time you hoped it would. At this point you wonder “Where is God? Why did he let this happen to me?”
I have found one answer to this: We can’t always understand God and his ways, all we can do place our hope in him, because at the right time what be hope for will come to pass. God is with us no matter what happens. Even in the midst of tragedy and pain, he sees the bigger picture. Therefore, we have a reason to hope!!!
To be positive, we must be open to possibilities and be a carrier of good news to people around us who may be passing through through loneliness, disappointment and discouragement. We can help that person to cross through the bridge of hope, by helping them to know the good and salvation that is available through Christ.
So what are you waiting for, get up!!!! And see each day in a new light, dimension, perspective and with a positive mindset.
Remember, positive thinking plus positive actions equals positive results.
